Clover Academy is among the Head Start federal grantees that would be directly affected if the government shutdown extends beyond October. Clover has a contingency plan in place that will allow our Head Start operations to continue for one month without interruption or reduction of service. 

However, beyond our Head Start programs, we are deeply concerned about the broader impact the loss of essential safety net programs will have on the children and families we serve and those in the community adversely impacted. A prolonged shutdown would disrupt access to critical resources that help families work, learn, and thrive.

It is imperative that Congress acts swiftly to end the shutdown and protect the well-being of families in Louisiana and across the nation.
